Hands On Resume Writing Workshop

Workshop Details: Build or improve your resume with step-by-step guidance and practical support in a collaborative setting. This interactive workshop focuses on creating a strong, professional resume that aligns with Canadian standards and effectively showcases your skills, experience, and career goals. Participants will learn how to structure their resume, choose the right format, and write clear, impactful content that highlights achievements and relevant experience. The session also covers tailoring resumes to specific job postings, using keywords for applicant tracking systems (ATS), and avoiding common mistakes. With guided exercises and individualized feedback, participants will leave with a polished resume and the confidence to apply for jobs in the Canadian labour market.

Program Outline: COSTI has launched its Employment Related Services (ERS) program, offering workshops for Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees to build job-ready skills.
Additional workshop topics include resume writing, interview skills, networking, mentorship, and digital job search support, along with one-on-one counselling and resume screening.
