Critical AI Literacy for Educators

Critical AI Literacy for Educators: A Closer Look at AI for All, Canada’s New National AI Strategy

What are the major themes of AI for All? Why do they matter for education? We’ll start by distinguishing between AI tool use and critical AI literacy. Then, we’ll identify opportunities and risks associated with AI in teaching and learning, and apply practical questions to evaluate AI tools before using them with learners. Finally, we’ll support learners in becoming informed, ethical, and critical users of AI if they choose to use it.
