Chronic Pain Workshop – Central West Self-Management Program

The Central West Self-Management Program is offering a free, six-week Chronic Pain Self-Management Program for adults living with chronic pain or other ongoing health conditions.

This peer-led program provides practical strategies, knowledge and support to help participants build confidence and take an active role in managing their health and day-to-day well-being.

Topics include:

  • Managing pain, symptoms and fatigue
  • Healthy eating and physical activity
  • Setting personal goals and developing action plans
  • Problem-solving and managing stress
  • Communicating effectively with health-care providers
  • Building confidence and maintaining independence

The workshops are non-clinical and evidence-based, using self-management approaches originally developed through Stanford University. The program complements, but does not replace, medical treatment or advice from health-care professionals.

The CWSMP is delivered through William Osler Health System and serves communities across the Central West region, including Caledon, Brampton, Dufferin County, Etobicoke, Malton, Woodbridge and Rexdale.
