Local small business centres can provide information about registering and starting a new business, preparing a business plan, taxes and available government programs:

• Newcomer Centre of Peel offers free support to newcomers who want to start a business in Canada, including business guidance and customized support services.

Boards of trade and chambers of commerce are local business associations that entrepreneurs can join to network and partner with other business owners and operators:
