Home and Community Care Support Services Mississauga Halton is committed to supporting the overall health and well-being of individuals across its communities, including those who are newcomers. In collaboration with local health partners, including Peel Newcomer Strategy Group, Region of Peel - Public Health and Dr. Sundeep Banwatt, Home and Community Care Support Services Mississauga Halton has created a Newcomer Guide to Health and Social Services for the City of Mississauga to provide residents with resources, services and opportunities to settle successfully in our community.

Newcomer Guide for City of Mississauga

The Guide helps families, caregivers and service providers better understand Ontario’s health care system with resources on mental health and addictions, women’s health and wellness, infancy and early childhood, older adults’ and seniors’ health, vaccination and immunization, dental care, and 2SLGBTQ+ health. It also provides information on school and education, adult language and training, employment and job training support, housing and shelter, income support and financial assistance, and settlement services.
