Registering for School

Ontario has 4 government-funded school systems:

  • English Public
  • English Catholic
  • French-language Public
  • French-language Catholic

Attendance is free up to the end of Grade 12, however, at some schools, parents may be required to pay extra for some supplies and equipment.

All government-funded schools are co-educational, meaning they accept boys and girls, and most do not require children to wear uniforms.
