Beginning April 1, 2026, eligibility for IRCC-funded Settlement Program services is changing for economic class immigrants and their accompanying family members.
Economic class immigrants will be eligible for IRCC-funded settlement services for six years from the date they become permanent residents, or until they become Canadian citizens, whichever comes first. These changes apply to current and future permanent residents.
