SUMMARY:Bridging the Gap – Pathways to Early Childhood Education Careers for Internationally Trained Professionals (ITPs)
DESCRIPTION:This 10-week program supports internationally trained individuals with backgrounds in child development in becoming certified and employed as Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) or Early Childhood Assistants (ECAs) in Ontario.\nThe program includes career planning, certification training (CPR/First Aid, food handling, immunization), workplace preparation, individualized coaching, and hands-on placements in childcare settings. It directly supports provincial efforts to expand childcare access and address workforce shortages.\nEligibility: Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees, Refugee Claimants, Naturalized Canadian Citizens, approved Provincial Nominees, and residents under emergency travel measures.Participants should have at least a secondary school education and international training or experience in childcare or a related field.\nFor more information, please refer to the attached flyer or call 905-403-8860, ext. 5444.\nThe third cohort is scheduled to start on January 5, 2026, and registration is now open!\n
