Canadian Holidays
In Canada, each province has its own provincial holidays. Peel Region in the Province of Ontario has nine public holidays every year.
They are:
- New Years Day - January 1
- Family Day - is the third Monday of every February
- Good Friday - is the Friday before Easter
- Victoria Day - is the Monday before May 25
- Canada Day - July 1
- Labour Day - is the first Monday in September
- Thanksgiving Day - is the second Monday in October
- Christmas Day - December 25
- Boxing Day - December 26
Some employers give their employees a holiday on Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, the first Monday in August, or Remembrance Day. However, these days are not public holidays under the Employment Law.
