Specialty ESL Classes
There are specialty ESL classes available such as:
- ESL for business
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) preparation courses
- ESL and job search
- ESL conversation
- Speaking English with confidence
- ESL with computers
- English literacy development (ELD) programs
Some ESL classes also have co-op placements in specific occupations, including accounting, customer service, office administration and more.
These classes are offered through Peel District School Board, Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board as well as some Settlement service organizations in Peel.

Advanced ESL classes
If you are internationally-trained with a post-secondary education and have higher English language skills, you may want to take Specialty ESL classes which are offered by Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.
You can contact them directly. Sometimes they do their own evaluations or they may refer you to the Language Assessment Centre to have your English assessed before you begin taking classes.
