The PEP-Start Clinic is a drop-in, free clinic designed for families with children newborn to 5 years of age who live in Peel. PEP-Start offers parents the opportunity to consult with professionals from community agencies in any or all the following:
- Speech and language
- Parenting and behaviour
- Preschool development
- Infant/toddler development
- Health and nutrition
- Dental hygiene

Getting your child ready for School: A Parent’s Toolkit (PDF 2.43MB, 24 pages) is a great resource with practical activities that parents can do to ensure their children - from newborns to preschoolers - will be ready to succeed at school.
The Toolkit is also available in Chinese, French, Hindi, Polish, Punjabi, Spanish and Urdu.
Parenting and Family Literacy Centres
Parenting and Family Literacy Centres are places where parents/caregivers and children from infants to 6 years of age come to play and learn together. The centres introduce families to the school system and help prepare children for kindergarten.
