This website gives key information that will help you settle in Peel Region. There are a number of ways to obtain assistance in other languages:

Services in Other Languages

Peel Newcomer Information Centres (NIC): An information and referral service with staff who can help you in languages other than English.

Settlement service organizations: Provide culturally sensitive programs and help you with most of your immediate immigration needs. Settlement services are often free; offered in many languages other than English (some centres have French speaking staff).

InMyLanguage.org is a website that provides information in different languages for newcomers to Ontario, Canada.

Other Community Resources

2-1-1 is a free telephone information and referral service that links Peel residents to a full range of non-emergency, community, social, health and government services. It is available in many languages 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply dial 211.

Call 9-1-1 if you need emergency services, including police, fire or ambulance. Multi-language translation services are available through 9-1-1 when needed. They have access to interpreters who speak more than 140 languages.

Assaulted Women's Help Line is a crisis line for assaulted women with translation services in 150 languages. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 1-866-863-0511.
