Early Learning and Care
There are many programs and resources for pre-school aged children in Peel to prepare them for school. Here are some that are available to you:
Peel Hubs and Readiness Centres
Peel Hubs and Readiness Centres are run by the Peel District School Board. They are drop-in centres for caregivers and their children from ages 0 to 5. These centres have staff that will help you prepare your child for school. Newcomers are encouraged to attend and some of the centres have staff who speak languages other than English.
Best Start
Best Start is a program that helps prepare children to enter school at age 5.
The programs and services are free to all parents and caregivers of young children.
Ontario Early Years Centres
An Ontario Early Years Centre is a place for parents and caregivers of children up to the age of 6, to get free information and services to support their children's development. If you have a question about your child's development, or need information or services for children up to the age of 6, please call or visit your local Ontario Early Years Centre at www.peelearlyyears.com.
Special needs
The Special Needs Access Program (SNAP) is a program that provides access to services that support the inclusion of pre-school children with special needs in licensed quality care. Parents and professionals seeking support or services for pre-school children can call:

Resources:
Child Development Resource Connection Peel provides early childhood education and resources for children in their early years. This organization works with community partners to promote the quality care of children, and provides resources to help families care for their children.
